Glennis Roie Weston

April 10, 2024

Glennis Roie Weston, a beacon of generosity and kindness, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2024, in Richmond. Born on February 4, 1940, in Waipukarau, New Zealand, Glennis's life was a testament to her caring nature and artistic spirit.

Glennis's early years in New Zealand shaped a life that would be dedicated to nurturing and creativity. After earning her nursing degree, she embarked on a fulfilling career as a nurse in McCook, Nebraska.

Her love for the arts was as much a part of Glennis as her dedication to healing. An accomplished dulcimer player, she found joy in the strings of her instrument and the camaraderie of her dulcimer group. Glennis's artistic talents also flourished in pottery, a craft she not only mastered but also shared by teaching at the Red Bird Mission in Eastern Kentucky. Her paintings, like her music, were vibrant expressions of her soul.

Glennis's generous spirit extended beyond her family and friends. She was always ready to lend a helping hand, and her legacy of love and service will continue to inspire those who knew her.

She leaves behind her beloved husband, Paul Weston; her children, Michelle, Timothy (Selai), and Christopher Weston; her siblings, Maxine Bray, Bronwynn Mead, Earl Landridge, and Evelyn Landridge; and her cherished grandchildren. Glennis was preceded in death by her parents, Earl Ross and Rona Beaumont Landridge, and her brother, Brian Landridge.

The family accepted friends on Thursday, April 4, 2024, at Lakes Funeral Home to celebrate her life.

Lakes Funeral Home in Berea was in charge of arrangements.
