Donald Marvin Chasteen
Donald Marvin Chasteen, 73, passed away at Baptist Health, Richmond on May 19, 2024. He was born in Berea on October 9, 1950, to the late Virgil and Thelma Powell Chasteen. Donnie retired from Madison County Detention Center.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Gilbert Ray Chasteen. Donnie is survived by his wife Rebecca Chasteen, his sons, Steve (Sonja) Chasteen, Jason (Anita) Chasteen, daughters, Allison Chasteen (Justin Loudermilk), Stacey (Matt) Edwards, Kimberly (Terry) Lovett, Tammy (Robbie) Carpenter, sisters, Doris (Anthony) Robinson, Sheila (Deron) Wolfe, brother, Eddie (Joanne) Chasteen, 14 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren. He also leaves behind four aunts, Betty Chasteen, Edna Walter, Recie Botkin, Mary Chaney, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at 1pm at Lakes Funeral Home. Pastor Mark Sarver officiated. Burial followed at Madison County Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were Deron Wolfe, Brandon Lakes, Rockie Robinson, Anthony Robinson, Chris Chasteen, Justin Loudermilk, Matt Edwards, Robbie Carpenter, Ryan Davidson, and Kamryn Lovett. Honorary pallbearers were Joe Anglin, Earl Seals, Doug Thomas, Billy Lovern, and Robbie Brock.
Lakes Funeral Home in Berea was in charge of arrangements.
