Robert Ray Agee, passed away peacefully on January 8, at the Compassionate Care Center. Born on July 20, 1958, in Madison County, Robert's journey through life was marked by his loving nature, kindness, and the joy he found in the simple pleasures of the outdoors and craftsmanship.
Robert was predeceased by his parents, Claude and Flossie Agee, and his nephew, Christopher Lamb. He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with his significant other of 30 years, Betty Adams, and his children, Kaye Elkins, Ricky Adams, and Joe Parker. His presence will be profoundly missed by his siblings, Tommy Agee, Ricky Agee, Barbara Bowling, and Carol Sowder, as well as his adored grandchildren, Alexis Elkins, Kennedy Elkins, and Austin Webb. Robert's life was further enriched by the company of his nieces and nephews, Teresa Bowling, Liz Rose, and Jonathan Sowder, along with his three great-nephews and his dear Aunt Gracie Harrison.
Robert's professional life was dedicated to building not just structures but also a strong community through his work with Todd Builders, LLC. His hands skillfully crafted many homes, providing shelter and comfort to numerous families. His passion for building extended into his personal life, where he built most of the furniture in his home, each piece a testament to his talent as a woodworker.An avid outdoorsman, Robert found solace and joy in the embrace of nature. He loved to hunt and took every opportunity to be outside, whether it was for work or pleasure. His love for the outdoors was a thread that ran through his life, connecting him to the world in a way that was both profound and simple.
Those who knew Robert will remember him as a man of great kindness. He approached life with a loving heart, always ready to lend a hand. His gentle spirit and warm smile were sources of comfort and joy to all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Visitation will be at Lakes Funeral Home starting at 11 a.m. Friday, January 17. Funeral service will begin at 1PM with Brother Cecil Burns officiating. Burial will follow in Pilot Knob Cemetery.Pallbearers are Leon Clark, Trevor Todd, Tyler Whitaker, Arthur Cobos, Allen Lainhart, and David Barrett. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Todd, Eddie Todd, Roy Gene Todd, Frank Himes, Ricky Agee, and Tommy Agee.
