Josephine Smith Whitaker, 66, of Berea, died Friday, January 3, 2025 at Baptist Health Richmond. She was a lifelong resident of Berea born March 10, 1958, daughter of the late Frank and Ruby Matthews Smith, retired cashier and member of the Baptist Faith.

Survivors include daughters Laura Dunaway (Ryan), Joni Whitaker, her daughters’ father and life-long friend Roger Whitaker; siblings Ronnie Smith, Donnie Smith, Linda Lamb, Frances Horn, Gladys Taylor; grandchildren Kenton, Hailey, Makayla, Kylee, Blaiklee, Riley, Brantley, Remington, Jailee, Colton; great grandchild Harper Jayde. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister Jean Lowder.

Acceptance of Friends 12:00 Noon, Saturday, January 18, 2025 at Reppert Funeral Home.  Service at 1:00 PM.
