Donald Green

STRONGSVILLE — It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our father, Donald Bruce Green. Don passed away on Jan. 17, 2025, at the age of 82.

Don was born on June 25, 1942, to the late Donald H. and Effie F. Green in Toledo. He spent his childhood in Berea, Kentucky. The family relocated to Ohio and then settled in West Alexandria. Don enjoyed football and track during his high school years. He broke records in pole-vaulting and was part of the relay team that went to state.

Don and Carole Dalton were married in October 1962. They raised two daughters, Tracy and Cindy, at their home in West Alexandria. Don and Carole ran a very successful business, Green River Sawmill and Pallet Company.

In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his nephew Randy Riege; sister Wanda Riege; brother John Green; brother-in-law Jim Frantz; nephew Steve Winn and brother in law Forrest Rivers.

Don is survived by his two daughters, Tracy Campbell and Cynthia Miller (Douglas); Marie, John and Dean Sigan; sister Sue Rivers; sister-in-law Marlene Frantz; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Don's life will be held from 2-6 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 23, at the American Legion Hall in West Alexandria.
