Barbara Joyce Sebastian Jones

Barbara Joyce Sebastian Jones, 81, widow of Zane Ray Jones passed away Saturday, Feb. 8, 2025, at Saint Joseph Hospital in Lexington. She was born in 1943 to the late Robert Morton and Bertha Lee Perkins Sebastian. Barbara loved antiquing and history especially family history and spent many hours doing genealogy research, she was a member of the D.A.R. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother, always supporting her family in any way she could, especially in the co-founding of the family business Jones Heating & Cooling in 1967. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church.

Other than her husband and parents she was preceded in death by her stepmother, Gladys Hayes Sebastian and one sister Lillian Frances Sebastian.

Barbara is survived by four children, Angela Davis and her husband Ricky of Cartersville, David Jones and his wife Sheila of Richmond, Steve Jones and his wife Kimberly of Berea, and Chris Jones and his wife Josie of Waco. Eleven grandchildren, Erika Howe and her husband Sean, Andrew Lukanov and his wife Samantha, Justin Jones and his wife Sarah, Cody Jones and his wife Ashley, Zach Davis and his wife Hayley, Kaitlyn Hernandez and her husband JJ, Isaiah Davis, Braden Davis, Isabella Jones, Myah Jones, and Elijah Jones. Six great grandchildren, Ezra Jones, Cameron Howe, Carson Howe, Mateo Hernandez, Mila Hernandez, and Wren Davis.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2025, at Davis & Powell Funeral Home with the funeral to follow at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 13, 2025, with Rev. Charles Burton and Rev.
