Walker Lewis Curry

Mr. Walker Lewis Curry, 74 of Richmond, passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at the University of Kentucky Hospice Care Center in Lexington, following a brief illness. Lewis had many health issues through the years, but a stroke ended his life. Many thanks to Dr. Nuzhat Naqvi and her faithful staff, Amanda, Teresa and Charla for their wonderful care over the past twenty years.
Lewis was born on July 27, 1950, the son of the late W.T. and Margaret Curry. He spent 22 years proudly serving his country in the US Army and the Kentucky State National Guard. He retired from the Madison County Health Department. Lewis loved to fish and camp. He was an avid bird hunter when his health permitted. He loved playing cards and telling tall tales. Lewis loved his family, his wife, his children and his grandchildren were the treasures of his life.
He was a member of The Union City Christian Church and the Madison Lodge No. 183 F&AM of Kirksville.
Survivors include his wife of fifty years, Eva Barger Curry; two sons: Jason Taylor Curry and Jarrod Matthew Curry and wife Casey; one daughter: Jennifer Nicole Young and her husband Jeremy; his precious grandchildren: Madison Taylor Curry, Matthew Alexander Curry, Myles Gordon Curry, Emmett Thomas Walker Curry and Emersyn Rachel Lee Curry; four sisters: Beulah Goode, Anna Sandlin, Sue Riner and Sharon Bryant. In addition he is survived by many nieces, nephews and friends that he dearly loved.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home with Bro. Tim Jones, officiating.
Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home.
