Mary Elizabeth Hall Hill

Mary Elizabeth Hall Hill, 76, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on Friday, February 21, 2025 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Mary Liz was born on August 17, 1948 in Richmond and was the daughter of Raymond and Lena Tudor Hall, both of whom preceded her in death. She was a longtime faithful member of First Christian Church of Richmond. She was an outstanding planner and organizer, and she served as a wedding coordinator for 32 years with 21 of those being at First Christian. Mary Liz retired from the Madison County School System where she worked as the Special Education Coordinator. She was a proud member of the Daughter’s of the American Revolution- Boonesborough Chapter, and was also active in Madison County Homemakers. Mary Liz was full of life; she loved to shop, decorate, and throw wonderful parties. Above all, she loved her grandson and the times they spent together. Mary Liz was the epitome of a southern woman, and she will forever be remembered for her strength, grace, warmth, and love.
Survivors include: one daughter, Bonnie Durbin (Andy); one grandson, Nicholas Ray Zito; a brother-in-law, Glenn Hill; a sister-in-law, Brenda Hill; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: two sisters, Margaret Ray Ball and Sue Ann Gibson; and a sister-in-law, Doris Hill.
Services are pending at this time.
