Fairly Holden Turner

Fairly Holden Turner, 73, of Berea, died Wednesday, March 5, at his residence surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer. He was a lifelong resident of the Berea area born July 12, 1951, son of the late Vernon and Ella Carpenter Turner. “ Farley” as he was affectionately known by everyone was a dedicated maintenance man, small engine repairman, and member of Lighthouse Baptist Church. In his spare time, he enjoyed camping, fishing, and working outdoors.
Survivors left to treasure his memory include his loving wife Diane Young Turner, step-children Angie Thacker, Bobby Abner (Cristi), Vicki Spivey, and Donna Branham (Kenny); special sister-in-law that he considered his child Sheila Abrams (Billy); brother Charles Turner; sister Alma B. Turner; 11 step-grandchildren; 8 step-great grandchildren with 2 additional expected in May; as well as numerous relatives, friends, neighbors and church family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Joan Fields Turner; and brothers James Turner, and Allen Turner.
Funeral Service 1 p.m., Saturday, March 8, at Lighthouse Baptist Church with Pastor Chad Miller officiating. Visitation from 11 a.m. until service time. Pallbearers will be Billy Abrams, Holden Abrams, Timothy Branham, Derick Thacker, Dylan Thacker, and Dalton Turner. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bobby Abner, Terry Arvin, Lonnie King, Ron Lamb, Darrell Conrad, and Will Baldwin.
