Georgia Mae Goodloe

Georgia Mae Goodloe, 89, of Brassfield, peacefully departed this life on Saturday morning, March 1, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Born on April 11, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Thomas H. and Allie Elizabeth Hocker. She grew up on the family farm and inherited a strong work ethic instilled in her by her parents. For many years she worked at Westinghouse/Phillips Lighting following her retirement she also worked at Kroger’s.
Georgia accepted Christ at an early age and was a longtime member of The Goodloe Chapel Baptist Church at Brassfield, Kentucky. She was a gifted vocalist. For years she hosted and directed many Music programs at the church. She was the former President of The Mt. Pleasant District.
Georgia was a member of many social clubs and charitable organizations. She was a member of the Brassfield Homemakers, where she was recognized for being a member for over 60 years. In addition, she was a member of the Phyllis Wheatley Chapter #39 Order of Eastern Star, where she was Past Worthy Matron.
She leaves to cherish her memory, two children; William Andrew Goodloe and special friend, Carol Caldwell and Edna Elizabeth Goodloe Jackson and her husband Victor; five grandchildren: Andrew Goodloe, Desiree Jackson, Victor Jackson II, Andreau Edwards, and Shaundez Goodloe; six great-grandchildren: Alandra Goodloe, Jauntele Chenault, Lealand Edwards IV, Miyal Edwards, Janaysha Chenault, and Victor Jackson III. Georgia is also survived by many nieces, and nephews, including special cousins and friends: Maude Collins, Lillie Captain, Micheline Jackson, Sarah Hughley, Darnell and Corene Hill, Eleanor Kavanaugh, Donna Kelly, and Cynthia Ballard.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother James Henry Hocker.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 8, at the Goodloe Chapel Baptist Church, 2201 Brassfield Road. Burial will follow in the Speedwell Cemetery. The funeral service may be viewed via Live Stream Webcast at www.cpcfh.com
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the church. The Eastern Star Service will begin at 6 p.m.
Pallbearers are Charles Green Jr., Andrew Goodloe, Victor Jackson II, Lafess Chenault, Franklin Floyd, and Savion Floyd.
Honorary Pallbearers are Mark Miller, Jerry Ferrell, Peter Jackson, Terrance Hocker, Kevin Hocker, William Hocker, Charles Simpson, Dwayne Mayfield, Don Shearer, Frank Floyd, Ledale Kavanaugh, George Ballard and Anthony Ballard.
