Joyce Moberly King

Mrs. Joyce Moberly King, 86, of Newby, the widow of Robert “Junior” King, Jr., passed away Sunday morning, March 16, at her home.

She was born in Garrard County, on Oct. 9, 1938, the daughter of the late Bill & Evelyn Foster Moberly. Joyce loved going fishing and spending time in her vegetable garden. She enjoyed spending time with her family and through the years often looked forward to the time she helped with babysitting in her home.

Survivors include her sons, Jonah King and Delvin Rush, Johnny King and Connie, a step-granddaughter Stephanie Anglin, and Eddie, one brother Billy Moberly, and Marie, one sister, Bernice Trailor, and Johnny, as well as a host of extended family, friends, and neighbors.

In addition to her parents, and husband, she was preceded in death by: her daughter-in-law, Virginia Marie Eversole King, a granddaughter, Tiffany Renea King, and one sister, Johnetta Tapp.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 22, at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home, with Bro. Bobby Casey will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 - 8 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Billy Tapp, Kerry Tapp, Tom Stamper, Arlie Faulkner, Jimmy Dean Simpson and Danny Castle.
