Melanie Ann Johnson Seals, 58, of Berea, passed away suddenly on March 18, in the same peaceful town where she was born on Dec. 14, 1966. Melanie's life was a tapestry of love, dedication, and creativity, woven with the threads of family, work, and her passions.
Melanie was the cherished daughter of Anna McHargue Augustine and the late William Edward Johnson, and the beloved granddaughter of the late Dorothy McHargue. Her spirit is carried on by her devoted husband, Jimmy Seals, their loving children, Miranda Elizabeth Ann Gray and her husband Garrison, Lexi Paige Seals and her fiancé Raymond Morgan, Jill Mason and her husband David, Lindsey Parson and her husband Jamie, and Brandon Seals, her granddaughters, Kendra, Lilli, Gracie, Luci, and Maudie, her grandson, Weston, and her caring brothers, Keith, Alan, and Albert (Jennifer) Johnson. Melanie's warmth and kindness also touched her many nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will miss her dearly.
After earning her Associate's Degree, Melanie built a fulfilling career in property management. She had a knack for making any space beautiful and welcoming. Melanie's creative soul found joy in being crafty, tending to her flower garden, and embracing the beauty of the outdoors.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., Monday, the 24, at Lakes Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Madison County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be on Sunday from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
