Leroy Culton

Leroy Culton, 71, of Madison County, passed away peacefully on March 21, in the same county where he was born on March 30, 1953, to the late Clarence and Emma Atkins Culton.
Leroy is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Fryer Culton, and their two sons, Roy Travis Culton and Wayne Culton. Leroy’s legacy continues through his brother, Gary Culton, and sister, Donna Goosey, as well as his adored granddaughters, Shayla and Sarah Culton. His special great-niece and nephew, Felicity and Walker, and his great-great nephew, “Little Walker”, along with several nieces and nephews, also survive him, treasuring the memories and values he imparted.
Throughout his life, Leroy was known for his strength of character and work ethic as a farmer and mechanic. He enjoyed attending church at King Tabernacle. Outside his work and spiritual life, Leroy’s passions included fishing, hunting, and the art of woodworking, where he enjoyed making crosses and furniture.
The Culton family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the Hospice team and their chaplain for his comforting presence
Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Tuesday, March 25, at Lakes Funeral Home with Pastor Greg King officiating. Burial will follow in the Madison County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
