Jason Lynn Mathis

Jason Lynn Mathis, born on March 20, 1987, departed this life peacefully at his home on March 22. Jason was the beloved son of David Gerald Mathis (Donna) and Polly Mathis Proctor Sizemore (Hobart). He worked as an extremely talented curb machine operator.

Jason is survived by his two cherished sons, Bryson Joe Mathis and Roman Lynn Mathis. He also leaves behind his brothers, Joseph Mathis and Gary Pensol, who were more like brothers than friends; his sister, Loretta Richardson (Johnny); and his nieces, Emily Thacker (Josh) and Makensie Price. Jason was also a proud great-uncle to Addison Marie.

In addition to his family, Jason is remembered by his long-time partner, Tiffany Monien. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Jason had a contagious smile and a love for the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing and being in nature. He loved boating and swimming. He also had a special fondness for his mother's one-of-a-kind chocolate pies.

Jason also leaves behind several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Joseph Mathis, Gary Pensol, Todd Brinegar, Johnny Richardson, Emily Thacker, Josh Thacker, and Kenneth Couch.

Services will be held at Oldham, Roberts and Powell Funeral Home with Achee Eads officiating. Burial will follow in Madison County Memorial Gardens.
