Allen Wayne Wallace, 91, of Berea, died at his residence Friday, April 4, surrounded by his family. He was born July 27, 1933, son of the late Elias Edward and Esther Ball Wallace, U. S. Army veteran, retired CSX Railroad employee (with 39 1/2 years of service), resident of the Berea area all his life, and member of Wallaceton Baptist Church.
Survivors left to cherish his memory include his children David (Diane) Wallace, Rebecca (David) Heckman; brother Butch Wallace; grandchildren Greg (Danielle) Wallace, Kelli (Brooks) Holton, Andrew (Chelsea) Wallace, Emily (Vince) Slone, Jacob (Gina) Harding, Jared Harding, Kyle (Kate) Kidwell, Jason (Katie) Kidwell, William (McKayla) Wallace; 18 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and church family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife Lucille Hale Wallace; children Allen Wayne Wallace, Jr., Beth Thomas; siblings Elmer Wallace, Dallas Wallace, Addie Mae Osborne, Alice Palmer, and Jim Wallace.
In accordance with Allen’s wishes, he was cremated. Acceptance of friends 2 p.m., Sunday, April 13, at Reppert Funeral Home, with Memorial Service to follow at 3 p.m. with Bro. Jacob Harding officiating. Burial of Cremains with Military Rites 11 a.m. Monday, April 14, at Berea Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Hospice Care Plus, 350 Isaacs Lane, Richmond, KY 40475
