Pauline Perkins Neeley

Mrs. Pauline Perkins, Neeley, 79, of Valley View, passed away on January 6 at her daughter’s home.
Pauline was born on January 10, 1945, the daughter of the late Floyd and Mattie Hendrix Perkins. She was a lifelong Valley View Community member, having been born there, raised her family there, and was in so many ways, the “unofficial” Mayor of Valley View. Pauline worked for RJ Reynolds for several years until they closed, and even then, she stayed busy cleaning houses, spending time with her family, going to yard sales, and antique shopping. She was a member of the Valley View Baptist Church.
Survivors include: her children, Mitchell Chism, Shanda Foley (Allen), and Jimmy Ray Neeley (Rod); one brother, Ronnie Perkins (Wanda), one sister, Emily Keller (Clyde), four grandchildren, Michael Chism (Margaret), Bobby Chism, Keeley Cooper (Logan), and Kimball Foley (Madison); several great-grandchildren; her special friends, Louise Rhodus, Brenda Luster, Terry “Mammy” Lawson, Brenda Fain, Jenny Rhodus Mink and Brenda Rhodus, and a host of other extended family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Raymond Neeley; two brothers, Floyd Perkins, Jr., and Tommy Perkins; and her faithful companion of many years, Homer Luster.
A memorial service will be conducted at 5:00 PM Saturday, April 26, 2025, at the Valley View Baptist Church, 3185 Tates Creek Rd., Richmond.
