Frances Abatemarco 
Frances Abatemarco passed to eternal life on May 2, 2025, at home.
She was born Francesca Patruno on July 4, 1933.....and so she was known by her family as "The Firecracker". Her parents were Pietro and Maria Patruno. She married Henry Abatemarco Jr. in 1952, and they had 2 children. 
Frances was an Administrative Assistant throughout her career at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. After her retirement, she worked for the Catholic Prayer Channel and then for Kingsborough Community College until she was 80 years old. She was a dedicated poll worker during all elections in the city of New York until 2013. She was an avid reader and was active in many church related women's groups before moving to Kentucky in 2015.
After coming to Richmond, she attended St. Mark's Church with her son until she could no longer walk well, but looked forward to ministry visits on the weekends. Frances loved her cottage at Arcadian Cove and the exceptional caretakers who helped her along the way until the very end.
Frances was predeceased by her son Glenn in 2023 and her siblings Frank and Rita.
Children are her daughter, Debora Lambdin, and husband, Kip "Favorite Son-in-law", grandchildren, Melissa Secchio, Stephanie DeWitt, Danielle Abatemarco and husband Rob Marley, Michael Abatemarco, and Jamie Abatemarco. Great-grandchildren are MiaJoe Levy and Jeremy Joseph DeWitt.
Funeral mass will be held at St. Mark's Church on Wednesday, May 7, at 11 a.m., with entombment afterwards at Madison Memorial Gardens.
