Mrs. Bonnie Cody

Mrs. Bonnie Cody, 67, widow of William David “Crockett” Cody, passed away Sunday, June 22, 2025, at her home.

Bonnie was born in Richmond on Oct. 26, 1957, the daughter of the late Samuel Moore and Dora Marshall Moore. She loved to grow flowers and loved her Yorkie Ginger. She was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers: Joseph Moore and Everett Moore; her sisters: Elizabeth Hall, Rosa Lee Cruse, and Margie Estes.

Survivors include her daughter, Virginia Rose (David); her son, Jody Lee Cody; her brother, Jackie Lee Moore (Judy); her sisters, Ethel Cody (Logan) and Anna Faye Stockley; her grandchildren, Andy Cody, Kristen Hensley and Rebeka Rose; her great grandchildren, Nora Hensley, Tessa Rose and Chase Rose as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 26, 2025, at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home with Pastor Darren Slone officiating. Burial will follow at the Pilot Knob Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Dean Moore, Brian Moore, Cameron Moore, Elmer “Pud” Cody, Jamie Harrison, and Andy Cody.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Proctor, Dale Proctor, and Zack Proctor.

The Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home, W. Main St., Richmond, is in charge of the arrangements.
