Richmond Powwow Association to host celebration event

RICHMOND -- The Richmond Powwow Association will have a two-day event at Battlefield Park on Friday and Saturday, July 11 and 12, from 10 am to 4 pm.
This event is in celebration of all the years the Richmond Powwow Association has organized the annual powwow in Richmond and to thank those who have been involved in it. The association is transitioning from holding powwow events to working with schools and adult education.
The event will be held in the area of the main house. The house will also be open for entry with a small Native display inside and several Native items for sale. There will be a drum, dancing and a few vendors. Andrea Patterson from Berea will have food for sale at his Fish N Wings booth. Visitors may bring their chairs and form an arena for dancing. There is no charge for admission or for parking.
