Dezna Lyttle Napier

Mrs. Dezna Marie Lyttle Napier, 46, of Richmond, passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at UK Chandler Medical Center surrounded by her family and friends.
Mrs. Napier, the daughter of Carl Edward “Eddie” Lyttle and Hettie Jones Lyttle, was born in Harlan, Kentucky, on January 26, 1979. She enjoyed traveling, serving others, and watching her children grow. Dezna graduated from Evarts High School in 1997 and went on to Eastern Kentucky University and obtained her master’s degree. She had taught at South Irvine Elementary School and Estill Springs Elementary School. Her current role was the fifth-grade teacher at West Irvine Elementary School. She had a deep love for all her students and co-workers. Her love for children extended to her church, Eastside Community Church, where she served as a leader for eKids. Dezna received Christ as a child, and her faith was unwavering until her last breath.
On June 14, 2003, she united in marriage to Jason Napier, who survives.
In addition to her husband and father, Mrs. Napier is also survived by their son: Reid Hudson Napier, their daughter: Emery Quinn Napier, her niece and nephew: Amelia Williams and Kamden Williams, her mother-in-law: Rita Napier, one sister-in-law: Lori (& Stephen) Williams, her best friends and their children: Mary (& Aaron) Raider, Elizabeth and Elliott and many friends and all her students.
In addition to her mother, Mrs. Napier is also preceded in death by two infant sons: Ian Samuel Napier and Ethan Michael Napier, and her father-in-law, Orlee Napier.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. Sunday, July 13, 2025, at Eastside Community Church, 2010 Catalpa Loop Rd, Richmond.
The funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at the church with Pastor Brandon Bunch and Pastor Carla Perry officiating.
Burial will follow in the Madison County Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Kamden Williams, Stephen Williams, Aaron Raider, Elliott Raider, Matthew Sizemore, Joey Williams, Dean Moore, and Luke Honaker.
Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
