Alice Cole, 60, peacefully departed this world on July 15, 2025, in Lexington. Born in Jackson County on March 12, 1965, Alice’s journey was marked by an unwavering spirit of love and dedication to her family and community.

Alice’s life was a rich tapestry woven with the love she shared with her beloved husband, Roy Cole, and the pride she took in her daughter, Mariah Atherton, and her husband, Dennis. Her role as a grandmother to Kamden and Aubrey Atherton was one she cherished profoundly, and their memories of her will be cherished as treasures for a lifetime. Alice is survived by her sister, Margie Clark. She was preceded in death by her twin brother Tommy Rose and sister, Helen Rose.

Professionally, Alice built a fulfilling career with the Carhartt Company. Her colleagues knew her as a reliable and enthusiastic team member. Alice was an avid shopper with an affection for T.J. Maxx, where she would often be found adding to her collection of beloved items. Flea markets and antique shops were her playground, and she delighted in the thrill of the hunt for hidden treasures.
