Tristan Markese York Brown

Tristan Markese York Brown, 16, passed away Sunday July 20, 2025, at Baptist Health Hospital in Richmond from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born May 1, 2009, in Richmond to Lindsey Danielle York Brown, and Rico Brown, Jr. Tristan, a sophomore at Madison Southern High School, loved football, photography, video games, a favorite of his was GTA 5, fishing, and shoes. He was a great friend to all, had a huge heart, was reliable, and very respectful. Tristan also enjoyed watching the sunset, traveling, and his dogs. He was a member of the Life Church in Richmond. 

In addition to his parents, he is survived by one sister, Laniya Brown of Berea, paternal grandparents, Rico Brown, Sr. of Lexington, Mary Maccall of Alanta, Georgia, Pamela Powell of Lexington, maternal grandparents, Chris (Kristi) York of Russell Springs, Melissa McGowan of Russell Springs, Jamie York of Russell Springs, great grandmother’s, Judy Smith of Russell Springs, Alma Crew of Russell Springs, paternal aunts and uncles, Raquel Brown of Hopkinsville, Derico Brown of Atlanta, Rodney Huggins, Jr. of Atlanta, Alexis Huggins of Atlanta, Gracie Brown of Lexington, Ella Brown of Lexington, maternal aunts and uncles, Rhyan York of Richmond, Gabby (Keith) Hughes of Danville, and Michael Brown of Russell Springs.

Visitation will be 4-9 p.m. Sunday July 27, 2025, at the Life Church, 1705 Irvine Rd. in Richmond. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Monday July 28, 2025, at the church with Rev. Chad Lainhart officiating. Burial will follow in the Berea Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chris York, Rico Brown, Jr., Rico Brown, Sr., Rhyan York, Keith Hughes, Michael Brown, Devon Johnson, And Darris Kellog.
