Motorcyclist seriously injured in collision on Battlefield Memorial Highway
Madison County Sheriff’s Office Deputies were dispatched to the 7000 block of Battlefield Memorial Highway around 2:45 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 3 in reference to a two-vehicle collision.
The initial investigation indicated a 2023 Dodge Ram truck driven by Christian Stacy, 27 of Berea, was traveling north on Battlefield Memorial Highway when Stacy turned left into a private driveway. Stacy turned into the path of a southbound 2020 Kawasaki motorcycle, driven by Gary Cordova, 19 of Berea. The motorcycle collided with the truck and Cordova was ejected from bike. Cordova was transported to the University of Kentucky Albert B. Chandler hospital with multiple injuries. Stacy was not injured in the crash.
The collision is under investigation by the Madison County Sheriff’s Office Collision Reconstruction Unit.. They were assisted on the scene by Madison County Fire Department, Red Lick Fire Department, Madison County EMS and the Kentucky State Police.
