Robert C. Kilbourn, Jr., 75, known to everyone as “Bob” passed away peacefully Saturday, November 4, 2023, at his home surrounded by his loving wife, children, family and friends. He was born May 3, 1948, in St. Clair, Michigan, son of the late Rev. Robert C. Kilbourn, Sr. and Elizabeth Yundt Kilbourn.

Bob graduated from Sewanee Military Academy, attended Transylvania University and studied at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, Massachusetts. He was a genuine man of compassion, empathy and thoroughly enjoyed spending time helping others. His passion for helping others carried over into his 30 plus year career at Berea Hospital as a surgical technician.

In his spare time Bob loved spending time with his devoted wife Lesa, children, grandchildren and a host of family and friends. He continued his love of art and was distinguished in oil on canvas paintings, stained glass repair and restoration, and was recently awarded recognition by the Kentucky Guild of Artists and Craftsman. Bob was a member of Episcopal Church of Our Savior (Richmond).

Survivors left to cherish his memory are his loving wife Lesa Robbins Kilbourn; daughters Heather Walmsley (Bill), Racheal Hampton (Fred), Lindsey Lear; grandchildren Gwen Berry (Aaron), Rowan Walmsley, Brooke McGaughey (Matt), Nathaniel Hampton, Zachary Vick, Kayleigh Vick; great granddaughter Everleigh McGaughey; sisters Rev. Mary E. Kilbourn-Huey (Terry), Margaret Weed (Ron); brother David Kilbourn (Patricia); in addition to a multitude of nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and church family.

In accordance with Bob’s wishes, he was cremated, and a Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday November 11, 2023, at Reppert Funeral Home with Rev. Mother Carol Ruthven officiating. Acceptance of Friends 12:00 Noon until service time.

In lieu of flowers donations suggested to Reppert Funeral Home or Hospice Care Plus.
