Barbara Joan Huys Frost

Barbara Joan Huys Frost, age 66, passed away Thursday November 9, 2023, at her residence in Berea, KY. She was born June 28, 1957, in South Bend, IN to the late Henry A. and Patricia G. Hill Huys. Barbara was a beautician by trade but an accomplished artist in painting at heart. Many of her paintings are cherished by family members. She loved her family, especially her daughters, going on walks, and traveling. Barbara was a member of Saint Clare Catholic Church.

Barbara is survived by two daughters, Valerie Najwa, and her husband Ahmad of Berea, KY, Allison Smith, and her husband Eric of Indiana, five siblings, James Huys, John Huys, Laurie Guntle and her husband Richard, Mary Miller and her husband Charles, and Paula Stone. Five grandchildren, Rabia Najwa, Dillon Smith, Eli Smith, Noah Smith, and Caleb Smith also survive.

Funeral Mass will be 11:00AM Monday November 13, 2023, at Saint Clare Catholic Church with Father Alfredo Basualdo officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery in Lexington, KY.
