Judy Ann Lipps Blanton

Judy Ann Lipps Blanton, born on March 18, 1948, passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2024, at the Hospice Compassionate Care Center in Richmond.

Judy was the daughter of the late William and Zudia Elam Lipps. She is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Paul Blanton, her son, Aaron Blanton, and her son-in-law, Jerad Taylor and his wife, Tami.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her only daughter, Paula Beth Blanton Taylor, and her brother, Michael Lipps.

Judy is also survived by her sisters, Janice Blevins, Margie Sandusky, and Lucy Cummins (Gaines) of Berea, and her sister-in-law, Kathy Lipps of Richmond.

Judy was a member of Crestview Holy Sanctuary for many years. She married Paul Blanton in 1980 and moved to Pathfork, Kentucky where she helped care for her mother-in-law, had her children, and fed many people delicious home cooked meals. She was lovingly nicknamed, Aunt Bea.

Judy retired from the caregiving profession and enjoyed her retirement spending time with her husband, children, and family, and attending church.

Funeral services were conducted on Friday, January 19, 2024, at Crestview Holy Sanctuary. Bros. Mark Adams, Marty Howard, Richie Howard, Frank Napier, and Stan Blanton officiated. Burial followed in the Madison County Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers were Jerad Taylor, Tim Alexander, Patrick Blanton, Jordan Lipps, Jeff Sandusky, Shane Blanton, Trenton Clontz, and Elisha Blanton. Honorary bearers were Kevin Blanton, Kenny Sandusky, Chris Lipps, and Patrick Lipps.

Lakes Funeral Home in Berea was in charge of arrangements.
