Water shortage advisory lifted

The City of Berea has lifted a water shortage advisory that began on Jan. 2.
Berea Mayor Bruce Fraley repealed the advisory with an executive order on Tuesday after conservation measures taken by Berea Municipal Utilities retail and wholesale customers, along with the recent rainfall, helped replenish water supplies significantly.
“The Berea Utilities management team has determined that the water shortage advisory is no longer necessary,” Fraley said.
In the order, Fraley encouraged retail and wholesale customers to “remain vigilant in voluntary water conservation efforts use until reservoir levels have risen to seasonably normal levels.”
A healthy Madison County requires great community news.
