Berea woman indicted on burglary, animal cruelty charges in Dec. 2 home invasion

A Berea woman was indicted on burglary charges following an incident on Dec. 2 at a home, located at 187 Fentress Lane.

Misti Combs Robertson was indicted on first degree burglary charges after she entered the home of Glenn and Carla Reed with “the intent to commit a crime and causing injury to Carla Reed and Glenn Reed” by a Madison County grand jury on Jan. 31.

Armed with a handgun, Robertson also was indicted on two counts of kidnapping and second degree assault for hitting Glenn Reed’s head with a handgun several times, causing physical injury.

The jury also indicted Robertson for third degree terroristic threatening after she threatened to kill Glenn Reed.

She also was charged with fourth degree assault by scratching and hitting Carla Reed’s face, which also caused physical injury.

During the burglary, Robertson also shot and killed a dog and was charged with second-degree cruelty to animals.

She remains lodged in the Madison County Detention Center.
