Dan Watson

Dan Watson, born on September 8, 1941, in Tennessee, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2024, in Berea. Dan's life was one of dedication and warmth, leaving behind a legacy of love and hard work. Before retiring from Barger's Masonry, he committed himself to a career in construction. He was a dedicated member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Spivey.

Preceded in death by his fondly remembered parents, Isaac and Eva Sweet Watson, his two brothers, seven sisters, and a beloved nephew, and special friends, Richard Williams and Rod McDaniel. Dan's memory will be carried on by his loving wife, Lorene McDaniel Watson. His spirit will also live on through his five nieces and seven nephews, along with numerous members of Lorene's extended family.

Heartfelt gratitude is especially extended to Ellis McDaniel, Jr. and Robert Watson for their invaluable help and support over the years.

Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at Lakes Funeral Home. Bro. Jimmy Ward and Bro. Rick Mason officiated. Burial followed in the Madison County Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers were Matthew McDaniel, Dustin Witt, Gary Bartruff, Ronnie King, Jr., Vince Townsend, Robert Watson, and Doyle Graham, and Ellis McDaniel, Jr. Honorary bearers were Auburn Miller, Rick Mason, Denny Bowlin, and Dave Conroy.
