Gary Randal Collins

Gary Randal Collins, 64, of Berea died suddenly Monday, July 1, 2024, at University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center in Lexington of a heart attack. He was a lifelong resident of Berea born June 19, 1960, son of the late Raymond Collins and the late Ellen Sue Montgomery Collins Morris. Gary was the former Director of Catering at Eastern Kentucky University and former Director of Catering at Berea College Food Service.

In his spare time Gary enjoyed family time, being a dedicated husband, father and grandfather, floral design, yard sales, Home Interior Design, and designing floral arrangements for Memorial Day remembrance flowers. He was a dedicated member of Red Lick Baptist Church where he was instrumental in serving Fellowship Hall refreshments and food preparations for fellowship gatherings of any type.

Survivors include his loving wife Teresa Parker Collins; sons Randy Collins (Lida), Rodney Collins (Tiffiny), Greg Collins (Rosie Wagers), Eric Collins (Sarah Hardy); siblings Gene Collins, Debbie Collins, Angelia Mitchell; grandchildren Chase, Austyn (Haven), Courtney, Allison, Chase, Kelsie, Nathaniel, Makayla, Levi, Bentley. Addy, Everlee; as well as numerous relatives, friends, and church family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Troy Collins.

Funeral Services were conducted on Monday, July 8, 2024, at Red Lick Baptist Church. Pastor Kris Isaacs, Bro. Joe VanWinkle and Bro. Doug Collins officiated. Burial followed in Pilot Knob Cemetery. Pallbearers were Chase Collins, Austyn Collins, Levi Collins, Stephanie Collins, Timothy Collins, Nathaniel Wagers. Honorary Pallbearers were Kris Isaacs, Wayne Himes, Jeff Himes, Bradley Montgomery, Gene Collins, Valerie McFerron, Leonard Bratcher, Lonnie Reppert.
