KSP seeks assistance in locating man connected to fatal crash

The Kentucky State Police (KSP) is asking for the public's assistance in locating a wanted man connected to a fatal Madison County collision that occurred on Feb. 19, 2024. Curtis D. Jackson, 44, of Berea was involved in the two-vehicle crash on Mt. Vernon Road (US-25) in Berea that killed Jeffrey L. Crowe, 25, also of Berea.

As a result of the investigation, an arrest warrant has been issued for Mr. Jackson. He is charged with Vehicular Homicide, DUI 2nd offense, and other offenses.

On Feb. 19, a Chevrolet Silverado operated by Jackson, 44, of Berea, was traveling on Slate lick Road and attempted to make a left-handed turn onto Mt. Vernon Road (US-25), crossing into the path of a 2000 Harley Davidson motorcycle, operated by Crowe, 25, who was traveling north on Mt. Vernon Road.

Crowe was fatally injured and pronounced deceased on scene by the Madison County Coroner. Jackson Curtis, 44 years old of Berea, KY, operator of the other vehicle, was transported to Baptist Health in Richmond with non-life-threatening injuries.
