Danny Brewer

Danny Brewer, 62, husband of 20 years, to Misty Brewer, passed away Wednesday July 17, 2024, at St. Joseph Hospital in Berea. He was born March 14, 1962, in Huston, Texas to the late Wayne N. and Frances Leone Preston Brewer. Danny was described by family and friends as being one of a kind. He worked hard all his life serving the people of Madison County, retiring as Captain with the City of Berea Police Department and spent many years with the City of Richmond Police Department. Danny enjoyed all varieties of music but mostly the 70’s & 80’s bands, Kansas, Journey, REO Speedwagon, and ELO to mention a few. He was an avid sports fan following the Kentucky Wild Cats, Cincinnati Reds, and the Dallas Cowboys, had Monday mornings set aside for breakfast at Dairy Queen with the “GOB” crew, loved vacation trips with family to the gulf coast beaches, Disneyworld, was a history buff and a cat dad. Danny was of the Christian faith.

In addition to his wife, Danny is survived by his four children, Taylor Edwards of Berea, Riley Brewer-Collier of Lincoln County, Zach Brewer of Richmond, Jacob Brewer of Richmond, Mawmaw, Cheryl Stanley, Pawpaw, Darrell Nelson, and his beloved cats, Louie, Henry “Rufus”, Stella, and Ralph.

Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday July 23, 2024, at Berea Church of God. Pastor Rick Fulton officiated. Burial followed in the Berea Cemetery with full Military & Police Honors. Pallbearers were the Police Honor Guard.
