Helen Marie Messer Spangler

Helen Marie Messer Spangler (June 22,1948-July 26,2024) 76 years young. Devoted wife, mother, Granny, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. Talented seamstress/homemaker and good and faithful servant to God's beloved.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Spangler and daughter Carrie Sipple (Aaron) of Berea, daughter Sarah Aviles (Danny) of Gray, Tennessee, brother John Messer (Marga) of Charleston, Illinois, sister-in-law Diana Messer of Crab Orchard, as well as many loved nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. She is also survived by her adored and greatly loved grandchildren-- Landon (18), Max (15), Gage (11) Sipple, Charles (16) and Rose (10) Aviles. She joins her parents Marie and Levi Messer, brother George Messer and a grandchild (Hope) among other family and friends in Heaven.

Life this side of Heaven will not be the same without her. A true Psalm 31 woman of faith, she was strong, selfless, resilient, kind, generous, loved and respected. A woman of noble character far greater than rubies, we honor her for all that her hands have done. Lord, let her works bring You praise. Wash her white as snow of her pain and scars and hold her forever in Your loving embrace.

Pallbearers will be John Messer, Danny Aviles, Aaron Sipple, Landon Sipple, Charles Aviles, Max Sipple, and Gage Sipple.

Funeral services were conducted at Lakes Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 31, 2024. A graveside service will take place at Crab Orchard Cemetery, on Thursday, August 1, 2024, at 9:30 am.
