Naomi Baker Brandenburg

Naomi (Baker) Brandenburg, 95, passed away peacefully on August 12th, 2024, at her residence in Richmond. Born on May 23rd, 1929, in Madison County, she spent her lifetime nurturing family, bolstering community, and living her faith.
Daughter of the late George and China (Rose) Baker, Naomi grew up surrounded by a large and loving family. She was the devoted wife of the late Robert Glendon Brandenburg. Her life was also blessed with several siblings; she was preceded in death by Beulah Moberly, Lester Baker, Nelson Baker, Nora Johnson, Willard Baker, Nancy Bradley, and Arlus Baker.
Naomi is survived by two sons, Charles (Jean) Brandenburg and Larry (Iris) Brandenburg, who continue to carry forth her values of kindness and integrity. She is survived by her brother, Ellis (Faye) Baker. Her grandchildren: Aaron, Laura (Vince) Dean, and Jill (Jeff) Caskey, and her four great-grandchildren: Isaac, Leah, Lily, and Emma.
As a homemaker, Naomi dedicated herself to the well-being of her family, creating a warm and welcoming home. Her commitment to her community was evident through her long-standing membership at Berea Baptist Church and the Madison County Homemakers-Silver Creek Chapter, where she shared her passion for fellowship.
Funeral services were conducted on Monday, August 19, 2024, at Berea Baptist Church. Pastors Kevin Slemp and Kent Gilbert officiated Burial followed in the Berea Cemetery.
Lakes Funeral Home was in charge of the services.
