August 28, 2024
Bobby Dale Scott, a cherished family man and dedicated sports enthusiast, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2024, in Paint Lick, at the age of 58. Born in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, on July 28, 1966, Bobby made a lasting impression on those around him with his warmth and hearty laugh.
He is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Connie Powell Scott, and their beloved son, Bobby Dale Scott, Jr. with his spouse Christina. Bobby's memory will be treasured by his siblings Phyllis, Roger, Tracy, and Penny, as well as his brother and sister-in-law, Rick and Chaquita Lanham. His nephews and nieces, Ryan (Kelly) Lanham, Rachel (David) Lanham, Meleah Reppert, Ray, Steve, and Jimmy Johnson along with great nieces and nephews Nevaeh, Ryker, Ryden, Ryson, and Raelynn, also survive him. Dorothy Banks, his mother, preceded him in death, leaving a legacy of love and kindness.
Bobby had an industrious career as a truck driver and forklift driver for Lanham Iron and Metal. After retirement, he could be found passionately cheering for the University of Kentucky, never missing a game. However, nothing surpassed the joy he found in spending quality time with his family.
Graveside services were held on Friday, August 23, 2024, at Madison County Memorial Gardens. Bro. Bob Coppings officiated.
A healthy Madison County requires great community news.
