Bonnie Ruth Carter, 90, passed away peacefully in Richmond, on December 24, 2023. She was born to George and Dora Jane Moore Wilson on March 10, 1933, in Laurel County.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles Carter, her siblings, Edsel (Elaine) Wilson, Edna (Malcolm, Jr.) Wells, Doyle (Mabel) Wilson, and Wilma (Ralph) Ford. Her legacy continues through her loving daughters, Deborah Ann Cox and Kathy (Robert) Thompson; her brother, Hershel (Marsha) Wilson; her treasured grandchildren, Christy Saylor, David Cox, and Leah Rickman; two great-grandchildren, Brandon Saylor and Brianna Loxley; and her great-great-grandchild, Jack Louis Saylor.
Throughout her life, Bonnie nurtured her faith at the Richmond House of Prayer, drawing strength and solace from her beliefs.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, December 28, 2023, at Lakes Funeral Home with Bro. Jim Hansen officiating. Entombment followed in the Madison County Memorial Gardens.
Lakes Funeral Home in Berea was in charge of arrangements.
