Don McKinney
Don McKinney age 71, husband of Debbie Campbell McKinney, past away Oct. 15, ,2025 at his home in Palm Coast Florida.
Don began every day before most of the world had even thought about waking up - because in Dons book, the earlier the breakfast, the better the day. His laughter, love, and one-of-a-kind spirit will be forever remembered.
Don had a deep love for family and food (especially anything with cheese). His love for iced tea was unmatched - he was rarely seen without a glass in hand and always had a gallon jug of tea ready to go. His pride and joy, aside from his family, was his spotless truck - so clean a fly wouldnt dare land on it.
He was blessed with many true lifelong friends who shared in his stories, his laughter, and his love for simple country living. Though Don had lived in Palm Coast, Florida for the past five years, his heart — and his roots - always remained in Berea. Don loved spending time with his Moore’s Grocery Bunch, sharing stories and talking about the current events.
Don adored his wife, Debbie and their 4 ducks, she was his constant companion, his best friend, and the love of his life. gether they shared countless adventures, laughter, and quiet moments that meant everything.
He is survived by his two loving granddaughters: Callie (Jacob) Mitchell, and Caitlyn Miller, and his stepsons James Keith Miller and Jeremy Miller, and his loving sister Gail (Ron) Condrey.
Don delighted in teasing those he loved most - especially his sister Gail, who was often his favorite
target. Don was preceded in death by parents Hubert Delmas and Beatrice Goodrich McKinney.
Dons life was filled with humor, heart, and a deep appreciation for the simple blessings of each day - good food, good friends, and the people he loved. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who were lucky enough to know him.
