Eunice Hopkins Causey, 95, passed away on Sunday, October 8, 2023 surrounded by her family. She was born in Lincoln County to the late Ewell and Ellen “Ella” Hopkins. Eunice enjoyed spending time with her family and was the oldest member of Leavell Green Christian Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Causey, five brothers, and nine sisters. She is Survived by her three children, Larry (Sadie) Causey, Danny (Janice) Causey, and Brenda (Ray) Gabbard. Six grandchildren, Scott (Angela) Gabbard, Eric (Christy) Gabbard, Brandi (Steve) Zaccarelli, Kimberly (Phillip) Hacker, Tara (David) Frasure, and Shannon (Sheri) Causey. Twelve great grandchildren, Chase Gabbard, Sidney Carpenter, Lauren Zaccarelli, Sara Toso, Kristen Zaccarelli, Elijah Hacker, Willow Hacker, Raymond Causey, Tyler Barrett, Kelsie Absher, Amy Eads, and Jennifer Kelly. Four great-great grandchildren, Abigail Barrett, Nora Jo Absher, Elaina Toso, and Ella Tosa. Eunice is also survived by a good friend and neighbor, Sherry Napier.
Pallbearers will be Homer Strong, Shannon Causey, Scott Gabbard, Eric Gabbard, Steve Zaccarelli, and Phillip Hacker.
Funeral services were conducted at Lakes Funeral Home on Saturday October 14, 2023. Bro. Harvey Spry officiated. Burial followed in the Cartersville Cemetery.
Lakes Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
