Evelyn Rucker Pingleton, 91 of Berea, passed away October 4, 2023, at Regency Health and Rehab in Dalton Georgia. She was born in Rockcastle County, on May 24, 1932, to the late Bill and Cliffie Childs Rucker. She was retired from Dresser Industries. She was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence Pingleton. Her parents Bill and Cliffie Rucker. Her sisters Clella Jean Durham, and Jeraldine Morgan.
She is survived by a son James & (Donna) Pingleton of Berea. A daughter Gail & (James) Clayton of Tunnel Hill Georgia. Her grandson Jason Azbill of Tunnel Hill, Georgia. A granddaughter Melissa Pingleton, of Berea. Granddaughter Kaitlynne Azbill of Tunnel Hill Georgia. A step granddaughter Stephanie Clayton of Tunnel Hill Georgia. Two Nieces, and Three nephews. She is also survived by a sister Pauline Morgan of Berea. Funeral service were conducted on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at Lakes Funeral Home. Rev. Kenny Davis officiatied. Private burial was conducted at Madison Memorial Gardens, Richmond.
