Frances Bailey Horn, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully in her home in Waco, Kentucky on September 21, 2023. Born on October 2, 1956, in Berea, Kentucky, Frances was a beacon of love and kindness to all who knew her.
Frances was preceded in death by her brother, Huey Bailey, and her mother-in-law, Katherine Tudor. She is survived by her devoted husband of almost 48 years, Larry Horn, and her loving children, Christie Horn, Jennifer (Derrick) Gullett, and Shannon (Acacia) Horn. Frances was a cherished daughter to her mother, Golda Pennington Bailey, and sister to Joel, Pascal, Elihue, Jerry, Richard, Calvin, Cathy, Terry, and Bert Bailey. She was a doting grandmother to Sara, Kyle, and Courtney Lamb, Savanna and Riley Gullett, and Amelia and Kayden Horn. Her granddaughter Courtney, who is studying to be a nurse, provided exceptional end-of-life care to Frances, a testament to the love and respect she held for her grandmother.
Frances was a dedicated employee at Gibson Greeting Cards, where she brought joy to many through her work. In her spare time, she loved to babysit children, sharing her warmth and love with the younger generation.
Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at Lakes Funeral Home. Pastor Jack Hall officiated. Burial followed in the Bailey Cemetery in Waco. Pallbearers were Kyle Lamb, Joel Bailey, Pascal Bailey, Elihue Bailey, Jerry Bailey, Richard Bailey, Calvin Bailey, Terry Bailey, and Bert Bailey.
Lakes Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
