Jasper was preceded in death by his parents, Nick and Faye Suthers Dunaway, and his siblings, Shelby Tice, Lois Bertrum, and Anna Fox. His memory will be forever held in the hearts of his beloved wife, Geraldine Dunaway, his devoted children, Brian Jasper Dunaway and Stephanie Renae O'Donnell, and his adoring grandchildren, Dylan Jasper O'Donnell, Brian Austin Dunaway, Alyssa Riley O'Donnell, and Oliva Gail Dunaway. Jasper was also blessed with two great-grandchildren, Paisley Grace Dunaway and Greyson Lee Dunaway, who brought him immense joy in his later years. His legacy continues through his ten siblings, Deanna (Doug) Cobb, Sandra Novablaski, Lloyd (Virginia) Dunaway, Paula (Gannett) Portwood, Nick (Sue) Dunaway, Irene Allen, Patricia (Hank) Henson, Larry Dunaway, Jimmy Dunaway, Lynn (Tom) Curtis, and many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family, all of whom will miss his warmth and special sense of humor.
Jasper's work ethic was evident throughout his career as he dedicated many years to Begley/Big B Cleaners and the maintenance department for the Berea Board of Education before his retirement. A man of faith, Jasper was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church, where he found strength and fellowship. His leadership skills shone brightly as he served as a former assistant Boy Scout Leader, guiding young minds with patience and wisdom. Jasper was also a proud member of the Waco Masonic Lodge.
He was often found at Bluegrass festivals alongside his brothers. Fishing was another of Jasper's favorite pastimes, providing him with moments of peace and enjoyment.
Funeral services will be at 4 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 16, 2025, at Emmanuel Baptist Church with Pastors Joey Kays and Scott Guiley officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.. Burial will be at Madison County Memorial Gardens on Monday at 1 pm with Bro. Douglas Clem officiating. Condolences may be left for the family at www.lakesfuneralhome.com
