Judy Ann Dean Murphy, a beloved retired schoolteacher from the Jackson County School system, has left us with cherished memories as she peacefully passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2023. Judy was born to Norman and Carrie Lunsford, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Amos Dean, her loving son, Michael Raymond Dean, and her sister-in-law, Betty Lou Lunsford.
Judy is survived by her daughter, Susan (Hank) Patton, and her husband, Clifford Murphy. She was a doting grandmother to her granddaughter, Rebecca Ann Patton. Judy also leaves behind four siblings who will continue to hold her close in their hearts: Gene (Sue) Lunsford, Larry Lunsford, Wanda Faye (Bruce) Kirby, and David (Debbie) Lunsford.
Services were conducted on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at Berea Cemetery.
Lakes Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
