Katie Lee Savage Fowler, 81, of Berea died Monday, December 11, 2023, at Rockcastle Regional Hospital after a long illness. She was a Pigeon Roost, Tennessee native born March 10, 1942, daughter of the late John Wesley and Margaret Griffis Savage. Katie was a retired Missouri Department of Education Employee (kindergarten teacher) and seamstress when she relocated to Tennessee. She was a member of the Lords House in Columbia, Tennessee and resident of Kentucky since 2021.
Survivors include two daughters Rebecca Hayes, Deborah Claxton (Wade); two sisters Betty Wales, Connie Morris; two brothers Dale Savage, Johnny Savage (Janet); grandchildren Fawn Zalabak, TJ Cates (Kris), Brandee Deckard (Michael), Ryan McCully; great grandchildren Benjamin (Alyssa), Piper, Tucker, Sawyer, Charlee-Kate, Olive; great-great grandchild to arrive soon Axle. In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by one sister LaVonda Price: three brothers James Savage, Joe Savage, George Savage.
In accordance with Katie’s wishes she was cremated. A Memorial Service was on Monday, December 18, 2023, at Glendale Methodist Church in Culleoka, Tennessee. Bro. Ken Klassen and Bro. Kenneth Unger officiated.
