Linda Carol Johnson, 80, of Berea, passed away on April 30, 2026, in Berea. She was born on Feb. 23, 1946, in Berea, and lived a life marked by kindness, devotion, and quiet strength.

Linda was a loving homemaker whose greatest joy was caring for her family and creating a warm and welcoming home. She was a faithful member of Berea Church of Christ and found comfort and fellowship in her church family. She especially cherished time spent with her close circle of friends, and she valued the simple blessings of everyday life. Her gentle spirit, patience, and good sense of humor made her a blessing to all who knew her.

Linda enjoyed tending to her flowers, and she also had a special fondness for flags, especially during her favorite holidays, the Fourth of July and Easter. These celebrations reflected the joy she found in family traditions, faith, and the beauty of life’s meaningful moments.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, William Vester and Rachel Rowlette Baker; her husband of 50 years, Garla Johnson; her daughter, Teresa Johnson Libby; and her brother, Garrie Baker. Their memories remained close to her heart throughout her life, and she carried their love with her always.

She is survived by her son, Brian Johnson, and his wife, Jeannie; her son-in-law, Gary Libby; four grandchildren, Clay Johnson and his wife, Emily, Haley Johnson, Hannah Lane and her husband, Nelson, and Porter Libby; one great-granddaughter, Eleanor Johnson; and her sister-in-law, Sandra Baker. Her family was the center of her world, and she took great pride in each of them.

Those who knew Linda will remember her as a kind woman with a patient heart and a warm sense of humor. She had a way of making others feel comfortable and cared for, and her presence brought peace and encouragement to those around her.

Funeral services will be 1 pm, Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at Berea Church of Christ with Pastor Stephen Boyd officiating. Private services will follow at Berea Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church. Condolences may be left for the family at www.lakesfuneralhome.com
