Mary Jane Glenn, or ‘Janie’ as family called her, passed away peacefully, July 29, 2025, surrounded by her family, at the Hospice Compassionate Care Center in Richmond. Janie was born in Stanford to the late Albert and Cleo Marie Mason Lucy. She worked for Rand McNally, was a loving mother and grandmother, and graduated from Madison Central in 1972 and The New Opportunity School for Women in the 1990s. Janie was also preceded in death by her sister, Evelyn Truett.
Janie is survived by her husband of 51 years, Jesse Glenn, her sons: Jody and Jesse A Glenn, her siblings: Lori (Jack) Callaway, Earl (Glenda) Lucy, and Norma (Michael) Bowling, her grandchildren: Gideon and Alora Glenn, as well as many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Friday, Aug. 1, from 6-7:30 p.m. at Lakes Funeral Home, with a celebration of life beginning at 7:30 p.m..
