Nona J Bond age 81, wife of Larry Bond, passed away on March 1, at the Baptist Health Hospital in Lexington. Nona was born and raised in Jackson County to the late George A. and Mary Fields Bingham.
Nona worked for and retired from Westinghouse and Phillips Lighting, and she was a member of the Richmond Church of Christ. Nona was also preceded in death by her siblings: Retha Rose, Ida Lakes, Teresa Turner, Cordell Bingham, and Tom Bingham.
Nona is survived by her husband of 60 years, Larry Bond, her son Clayton L. (Jackie Craig) Bond, her granddaughter Kendra (Devin) Shuman, her sisters: Huda L. Jones and Carrie M. Piercy, and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be Friday, March 7, at 11 a.m. at Richmond Church of Christ 1500 Lancaster Rd. Richmond. Burial will be in the Madison County Memorial Gardens. The ministers officiating will be Michael Johnson and Jack Hall. Visitation will be Thursday, March 6 at Lakes Funeral Home, Berea from 6-9 p.m.
