Raymond Joseph Eden, 80, of Berea, passed away peacefully Saturday, April 4, 2026, at the UK Chandler medical center.
He was born April 27, 1945, in Cairns, Australia, to Raymond and Joyce (Dutton) Eden. He moved to Madison County at the age of two, where he resided the majority of his life. Raymond dedicated years of service to Rockwell International prior to his retirement.
He enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially working in his yard and tending to his garden. He also had a fondness for animals and cared for pets throughout his life.
Raymond was preceded in death by his daughter, Darlene Eden; his parents, Raymond and Joyce Eden; and his brother-in-law, Robert Helton.
He is survived by his children, Debra Wilson, Bryant (Misty) Eden, and Chris (Dana) Eden; his grandchildren, William and Benjamin Mason, Trey (Elisabeth) Eden, Parker (Claira) Eden, and Jake and Wesley Eden; sister, Rebecca (Eden) Helton; Nieces, Rebecca Ellen Helton Miller (Kevin), Kristy Helton Little (David); great nephews Keaton and Tucker Miller, and Sam Little.
Life is a reminder that our days are temporary, but God’s promise is eternal. The family finds comfort in the hope of salvation through Jesus Christ, who came that all may have life everlasting through Him. "In his final days, the Gospel was shared with him, and we trust all things to God.”
A graveside service will be held at Berea Cemetery on Wednesday, April 8, at 2 p.m. with Pastor Joey Kays officiating. Lakes Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
