Rick L. Kaylor, a cherished father, partner, brother, and friend, left this world on December 28, 2024, at the age of 61, in Richmond.
A man who valued family above all else, Rick's memory will be lovingly carried forward by those he adored. He was the proud father of Whitley Jade (Kenneth) Wilson, and his joy of being a grandfather to Jaxon Ryder Wilson. His commitment to family also shone brightly within his partnership with Maxine Powell, who stood by him as a source of love and support. Rick leaves behind his remaining siblings, Doug (Jewell) Kaylor and Wanda Diane (Jerry) Rynearson, who, along with his nephews, Scott (Amy), Chad, and Austin, and a special cousin, Lawanna Kaylor, will continue to honor his memory. Rick's parents, Herbert Kaylor and Pauline Marcum Poole, along with his siblings Melissa Sue Kaylor, Jimmy Kaylor, and William Dale Kaylor, preceded him in death.
A hard-working man, Rick retired from Central Kentucky Processing where he had served as a production manager.
Rick's passions extended well beyond his professional life. He loved to cook; he relished the opportunity to create and share meals with loved ones. His love of travel meant that he was always ready for a new adventure, he was always ready to go to Savannah, one of his favorite travel destinations. Sports were another of Rick’s great enjoyments, and his passion ranged from the baseball diamond to the basketball court. Whether cheering on the Kentucky Wildcats, the Miami Dolphins, the Cincinnati Bengals and Reds, or improving his swing on the golf course, Rick's enthusiasm was contagious.
