Roy Lee McCracken, 85, of Berea, Kentucky, passed away on August 16, 2026. He was born on June 21, 1941, in Berea, Kentucky, and lived a life marked by hard work, devotion to family, and steady faith.

Roy spent more than 40 years working as a truck driver for UPS, where he was known for his dedication, reliability, and strong work ethic. He retired after a long and respected career and was a proud member of the Teamsters Union.

Outside of work, Roy found great joy in the simple pleasures of life. He immensely enjoyed watching UK basketball and followed the team with enthusiasm. He was also a man of faith and was a member of Berea Baptist Church and attended West Side Baptist Church.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents, Talmage and Faybra Branaman McCracken, his wife, Bonnie Prewitt McCracken, and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Wanda and Harold Johnson and Donna and Lynn Weaver. Their memory remained an important part of his life, and he carried their love with him throughout the years.

He is survived by his children, Larry McCracken and his wife Bobbie, Barry McCracken, and Jennifer McCracken. He also leaves behind one grandson, Derek Rhodus, and one great-granddaughter, Lillie Rhodus. In addition, he is survived by one sister, Marilyn and Cleve DeWitt, and his best friend and first cousin, Paul McCracken. His family was a source of great pride and joy, and he treasured the relationships he shared with them.

Roy will be remembered as a hardworking man who provided for his family and lived with quiet strength. He valued loyalty, faith, and the bonds of family, and those qualities were evident in the way he lived each day. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Friday, August 21, 2026, with Pastor Allen Livingood officiating. Burial followed in Lancaster Cemetery. Visitation is Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
