Ruth Jean Barnett Wallace, 79, of Berea died Sunday, March 17, 2024, at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born June 16, 1944, daughter of the late Strauder and Carrie Richardson Barnett, a homemaker and member of the Baptist faith. In her spare time Ruth enjoyed cooking, gardening, and farming. She was a member of the Wallaceton Homemakers.
Survivors include her loving husband of 59 years Thomas “Butch” Wallace; sons Glen Wilson (Vickie), Tony Wallace (Melissa), Tom Wallace (Karla); daughter Tammy Jones (Scott); sisters Beatrice Clem, Katherine Watts; grandchildren Michael, January, Kristian, Chelsea, Joey, Lindsey, Rachel, Cory, Lauren, Joshua, Ashley, Megan; twenty-two great grandchildren and one to be expected in the fall. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by six siblings.
Funeral Service 11:00 AM, Friday, March 22, 2024, at Reppert Funeral Home with Brother Glen Whittemore officiating. Burial will follow in Madison County Memorial Gardens. Visitation 6:00 – 9:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Michael Wilson, Joey Wallace, Cory Wallace, James Wallace, Josh Moberly, Ed Anglin.
